Privacy Policy
How we handle your data.
SplitFast is built to log shared expenses in seconds. To do that, we store the minimum data we need — and nothing else. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to remove it.
1. Who we are
SplitFast (“we”, “us”) is operated by Leverage Life Labs. The app
is available on iOS and Android under the bundle identifier
com.leveragelife.splitfast. For any privacy question,

2. What we collect
We only collect what the app needs to function:
Account data
- Name, email, and profile photo (from Sign in with Apple or Google).
- Phone number, if you choose to sign in with phone.
- A device push token so we can send notifications you opt in to.
Expense data you create
- Expense descriptions, amounts, currencies, dates, and split breakdowns.
- Groups you belong to and members you add to those groups.
- Settlements, comments, and reactions you post inside the app.
Contacts
- If you grant contacts permission, we match contact names and phone numbers against existing SplitFast users so you can add them to a group. Hashed numbers are used for matching; raw contact data is never shared with other users.
Diagnostics
- Crash reports and basic performance telemetry (device model, OS version, app version). No advertising IDs are collected.
We do not collect: precise location, browsing history, advertising identifiers, biometric data, or health data.
3. Why we use it
- Run the app. Authenticate you, store your expenses, and sync them across your devices and groupmates.
- Notify you. Send push notifications for new expenses, settlements, and comments. You can disable these in system settings.
- Improve reliability. Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- Parse natural language. When you type or speak an expense (“Dinner 120 with Akshay”), we send that text to an AI provider to extract the amount, participants, and description. The text is processed transiently and not used to train models.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with the providers required to run SplitFast:
- Firebase (Google): authentication, push notifications, crash reporting.
- Railway: hosting for our backend API and database.
- OpenAI: natural-language parsing of expense input you submit.
- Apple & Google: sign-in providers and app distribution.
Each is bound by its own data-protection terms. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
5. Where it’s stored
Data is stored on managed infrastructure in the United States and European Union, encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Backups are retained for 30 days.
6. How long we keep it
- Expense and group data: kept while your account is active.
- Crash and diagnostic logs: 90 days.
- Deleted account data: removed within 30 days of deletion, except where law requires us to retain it longer.
7. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Export your expenses and groups.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and associated data from inside the app under Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing us.
- Object to or restrict certain processing (GDPR / UK GDPR).
To exercise any of these rights, email leveragelifeofficial@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
8. Children
SplitFast is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page when our practices change. If the change is material, we’ll notify you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision.
